The beginning of the week-long “Quiet Period” on Wednesday bore fruit for USF on the recruiting front as Groveland South Lake all-purpose back Kelley Joiner Jr. and Orlando Christian Prep wide receiver Xavier Weaver both decided to off their verbal commitments to the Bulls.
Both kids were on campus for an unofficial visit on Wednesday, hence the pictures of them flexing in the new home jerseys.

Whether lining up at tailback or slot, Joiner was a primary source of offensive production for a South Lake team that stumbled to a 1-9 mark in 2017.
The future Bull amassed 2,241 yards on 8.9 yards per carry and 25 rushing touchdowns on the year. He also caught 12 passes for 101 yards and two touchdowns through the air.
