Three-Star Deerfield Beach DB Chris Townsel Signs LOI with USF Football

The DB from powerhouse Deerfield Beach is heading to Tampa.

Another defensive back has signed on with USF, this time three-star defensive back Chris Townsel out of Deerfield Beach.

Three-star (0.8322) per 247

Other notable offers: Indiana, Minnesota, Nebraska

Townsel comes to USF from a dominant Deerfield Beach roster loaded to the brim with D1 prospects. As a senior this fall, the South Florida DB registered 45 tackles, two interceptions and a fumble recovery on a nationally ranked Bucks squad that powered their way to a Region 3-8A championship before falling to eventual state champion Miami Columbus in the state semifinal.

Townsel originally verbally committed to USF in September.
