247sports.com and Rivals have reported that South Florida Bulls Basketball have gotten a commitment from four-star shooting guard Caleb Murphy out of Grayson High School in Georgia.

SG Caleb Murphy

6’3”, 180 pounds

Grayson High School, Loganville, GA

Recruiting Rankings (for now): Four-star on 247 (0.9439 Composite score), Rivals, and ESPN.

Other Notable Offers: Florida, Georgia, Nevada, Mississippi State, NC State

Primary Recruiter: Larry Dixon and Brian Gregory

Caleb Murphy is a top-15 shooting guard, and top-60 overall player in the 2020 recruiting cycle according to Rivals. The momentum for USF Basketball continues to roll after their CBI Championship last season, and adding a player like Murphy shows the future will continue to be bright for USF. He took an official visit to USF over the weekend, and had a few more lined up in the coming weeks, but he called them all off in favor of committing to USF.

Murphy now becomes the fourth-best prospect to commit to USF ever, only behind John Egbunu, Konimba Diarra, and Dante Curry.

From Rivals:

His jump shot remains a work in progress but it is his defensive prowess, energy levels and intangibles that should make him a day one producer for Brian Gregory’s squad.

This a huge get for the Bulls as they continue to tread in the right direction on the basketball court.
