Through an injury filled (and covid shortened) season, Hicks was able to rack up some big stats despite missing nearly half the year with a foot injury. He collected 32 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, and two pass deflections through 6 games played. For a career and a four year starter, Hicks compiled 219 tackles, 31.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, and 5 interceptions.
Listed as an inside linebacker, Hicks excelled at Vero Beach’s both middle and outside linebacker play, providing ample coverage during passing plays, and powerful acceleration during run plays. His ability to filter through offensive linemen to hunt down running backs, coupled with his vision on QB will leave him as a nightmare on opposing offensive coordinators.
