The 6-1, 195 pound cornerback was a top ten player out of Alabama in the 2019 class and was named First-Team All-State for 2018. Williams was a consensus four-star prospect by ESPN, Rivals, and 247sports and rated the no. 174 prospect on the ESPN300. He played in all 13 games of the 2019 season for the Hurricanes, mostly on special teams, and played in the season opener vs. UAB before putting his name in the transfer portal in September. He was credited with five tackles and a pass breakup last season.
Williams adds his name to an already stacked class on signing day in the secondary and will look to contribute immediately on Glenn Spencer’s defense. He joins former Kansas State DB Will Jones II as incoming transfers to the defensive backfield.
