Jose Fernandez’s squad had no issue on the road vs. the Memphis Lady Tigers as the Bulls went into Beale Street and added a conference win to their resume. USF shot 45% from the field to Memphis’ 22%.
Senior Tamara Henshaw led all scorers off the bench with 13 points on 6-of-8 field goals and Shae Leverett added an additional 9 with a game-high 10 rebounds for the Bulls. Sydney Harvey with 12, Eliza Pinsan with 11, and Bethy Mununga with 12 round out USF in double-digit scoring.
After a disappointing loss to UCF on Wednesday, USF took care of business (TCB) on the road where they’ve generally struggled with only a 4-4 record on the year away from the Yuengling Center. The Bulls keep pace in the race for second place in the AAC. They’re tied for third in the conference with UCF, behind Cincinnati and UConn.
With three games left in the regular season, the Bulls take on ECU at the Yuengling Center on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
