Six weeks of college football are in the books, we have a new number one team in the AP poll and Cincinnati has reached the highest ranking for a Group of Five school in the College Football Playoff era at No. 3. We are currently three weeks away from the unveiling of the College Football Playoff rankings to see how the committee sizes up the Bearcats.

Outside of Cincinnati, who ousted Temple on Friday Night’s Nip at Night matchup 52-3, Houston pulled away from Tulane late to leave the Green Wave reeling at 1-5. SMU avoided an upset minded Navy, and UCF narrowly beat ECU to end their losing streak. USF’s opponent this week, Tulsa, was able to fend off a late push by Memphis to put some momentum together. Week seven should be a relatively quiet week, especially with USF’s remaining schedule with all but two teams on their bye week.
