f Jeff Scott wants to get the fans off his back even a little bit, he’s going to have to put together a dominating performance tonight versus the Howard Bison. Former USF football player ties be damned. Step on their throat, and beat them down. USF has struggled against FCS teams under Scott, so fans are rightfully worried the Bulls can’t beat up on bad teams. New quarterback Gerry Bohanon showed flashes of why he won the QB job, but still missed some easy throws during the game, and his wide outs didn’t help much with five drops and a blown blocking assignment on the pick-6. The offense should be fine, but the defense is still a worry. New defensive coordinator Bob Shoop got caught with his pants down against the up-tempo pace of the BYU Cougars, and now that’s on film for other teams to try to exploit. They say they’ve fixed that issue. Only time will tell.
