Named to the 2022 @LouGrozaAward Watch List for the nation’s top collegiate kicker.

After being thrusted into a starting role in 2019, Shrader’s accuracy has improved steadily every year he has worn the green and gold. In 2019, a shakey game against Cincinnati plummeted his field goal percentage to 44.9% after connecting on just four of nine field goals. 2020 provided more accuracy but less attempts, with a 66% field goal percentage after going four for six.
However, in 2021, Shrader proved he belongs in the lineage of great USF kickers, going 11 for 13 and a career long 52 yard field goal against Temple which is the third-longest in USF history. He recorded nine straight field goals made, four of which coming from 40+ yards.
Shrader joins a bevy of USF kickers who have been nominated for the Lou Groza, including Marvin Kloss, Emilio Nadelman, and Santiago Gramatica amongst others.
