Only Sam Janetzke Days Until USF Football

Straight from the west coast I bring you an offensive lineman, out of powerhouse Apopka High School, looking for snaps in 2015.

#72 OL Sam Janetzke
Redshirt Freshman, 6'2", 283 lbs.

Stats in 2014: Janetzke redshirted in 2014.

Spot on Spring Depth Chart: Sam was not listed on the Spring Depth chart, which is not a real shocker with incumbents Glen Bethel and Reilly Gibbons. With that being said, offensive line has been a major weakness for the Bulls in recent years and depth is never frowned upon, whatsoever.

How He Came to USF: From Florida High School powerhouse Apopka, where he joined Willie Taggart’s 2014 class as a preferred walk-on.

Recruiting Rankings: Janetzke was not ranked by the major services, but coming from a football mammoth like Apopka it’s easy to be overshadowed by elite players like the Zack Darlington’s of the world.

Projected Playing Time: There aren’t any signs denoting Sam as the next player poised for a big break out season, but this is football and injuries happen. I see the redshirt freshman taking reps with the second team this season and from there we will have to wait and see. Let’s just say we’ve seen crazier things happen.

Fun Fact: Sam earned a 2013 Florida FHSAA 8A All-State Honorable Mention nod his senior year and was ranked 58th on the 2014 Orlando Sentinel Super60.

Highlights: Here's Sam's high school highlight.
