Only Tyler Dever Days Until USF Football

Any depth for USF's offensive line is good depth.

Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

#67 OL Tyler Dever
Redshirt Freshman, 6'3", 284 lbs.

Stats in 2014: Tyler redshirted in 2014.

Spot on Spring Depth Chart: Not listed.

How He Came to USF: Dever played offensive guard at St. Thomas Aquinas High in Fort Lauderdale, where he won a state championship in his senior season and attracted offers from a handful of FCS schools. He received some interest from FBS teams like Kansas, Vanderbilt, Ohio-- and even got a look from this dream school, Miami-- but no one pulled the trigger, and he wound up joining the Bulls as a walk-on.

Recruiting Rankings: Tyler was listed by a handful of recruiting services, but none of them paid him enough mind to provide a ranking.

Projected Playing Time: The Bulls don't have a lot of experienced bodies on the offensive line, but they do have a lot of bodies. Tyler will likely make his biggest impact on the scout team this season, but he's still young and has plenty of time to develop.

Fun Fact: This is only tangentially related to Tyler, but ESPN's recruiting profile for him shows how his 40 time stacks up against the best and worst time for guards in his class. The worst 40 time is listed as 55.87 seconds, which is almost definitely a typo, but I still can't stop giggling at the thought of a large offensive lineman repeatedly slipping as he valiantly attempts to run 40 yards. You're welcome, everybody.

Highlights: Here's Tyler in his senior season at St. Thomas Aquinas.
