Only Evan Wilson Days Until USF Football

Can this walk-on follow in the legacy of another quarterback-turned-receiver named Evan?

Jonathan Dyer-USA TODAY Sports

#18 WR Evan Wilson
Redshirt Sophomore, 6'2", 195 lbs.

Stats in 2014: Wilson didn't see any action in 2014, serving as the Bulls' fourth-string quarterback behind Mike White, Steven Bench and Quinton Flowers. He made the permanent switch to receiver in the offseason.

Spot on Fall Camp Depth Chart: Not listed.

How He Came to USF: Evan is a Sarasota native who played quarterback at Out-of-Door Academy, throwing for over 2,600 yards and 20 touchdowns and earning all-state Class 2A honors. He joined the Bulls are a preferred walk-on in 2013.

Recruiting Rankings: Wilson was not rated by any major recruiting service.

Projected Playing Time: Evan's actually had a really strong offseason-- he's launched himself from a nonfactor in the quarterback race to very much in the mix for playing time for wide receiver. He's not on the two-deep right now, but has been practicing with the ones and twos and has kept up his strong play at receiver through fall camp. With the Bulls thin at receiver and Stanley Clerveaux out for the season, there's an opportunity for Evan to see some significant snaps this season.

Highlights: This won't show you too much as far as his receiving skills are concerned, but sure, let's watch highlights from Evan's senior season at QB.
