Only Donovan Geter Days Until USF Football

As the tallest receiver on the team, Geter has a decent chance at playing time this fall.

#16 WR Donovan Geter
Freshman, 6'6", 195 lbs.

Stats in 2014: Geter was a high school senior in 2014.

Spot on Fall Depth Chart: Not listed.

How He Came to USF: From Newsome High School in Tampa, where he played wide receiver/tight end. He was also a high- and long-jumper and played power forward for the basketball team. He walked-on at USF this summer.

Recruiting Rankings: Geter didn't get any ratings from the major recruiting services.

Projected Playing Time: His main advantage is size. Geter is the tallest receiver on the team, including the tight ends. In situations where height wins, like throws to the corner of the end zone, he could be very useful. With Rodney Adams and Elkanah Dillon looking like the only reliable targets left since Stanley Clerveaux's injury, the Bulls will need all the help they can get. Normally a true freshman walk-on wide receiver has virtually no chance of getting on the field, but Geter has a pretty good shot under these circumstances.

Fun Fact: Geter won the dunk contest at the Pinellas-Hillsborough All Star Basketball game in March.

Highlights: As you can see, he had some speed in high school, and wasn't easy to tackle.
