Only Tajee Fullwood Days Until USF Football

Fullwood started to emerge at the end of the 2014 season. He'll take the next step in 2015.

#13 DB Tajee Fullwood
Sophomore, 6'2", 203 lbs.

Stats in 2014: Fullwood played in eight games, starting the last three of the season. He totaled five tackles, one for a loss.

Spot on Fall Camp Depth Chart: Tajee is listed as the starter at free safety ahead of Devin Abraham.

How He Came to USF: From Tampa Bay Tech, where he played two sports-- football and basketball-- and four positions-- receiver, corner, safety, and kick returner. He had a remarkable senior season, posting (take a deep breath) 23 tackles and three interceptions, 21 receptions for 356 yards and a pair of touchdowns, 13 carries for 109 yards, and a kickoff return for a touchdown. He attracted some big-time offers, including programs like Florida State, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Louisville, Kentucky, Arizona, and a ton of others. He committed to the Bulls in the summer of 2013, and Willie Taggart was able to hold off late pushes from some of the aforementioned schools and UCF down the stretch.

Recruiting Rankings: Both Rivals and 247 pegged Fullwood as a mid-level three-star prospect. 247 ranked him as the 69th-best cornerback in the nation.

Projected Playing Time: Quite a bit. Tajee really started to emerge as a legitimate threat in the secondary at the end of last season, and has built on that by grabbing the starting free safety spot in USF's new 4-2-5 ahead of Devin Abraham, another talented young athlete in the secondary. No matter where he lands-- and his ability to play across the secondary makes him invaluable-- he'll be a key part of USF's defense in 2015 and beyond.
