Fun facts about Friday the 13th:
- There is always at least one Friday the 13th in a calendar year, but never more than three. (This year has two - the other one is in October.)
- It is possible to have a Friday the 13th in consecutive months. It is always February and March when it happens. This last occurred in 2015.
- No one is exactly sure how Friday the 13th came to be considered unlucky. The most plausible explanations are typically from the Middle Ages and involve religious figures.
- I think it’s nonsense.
But since we’re here, let’s ask questions about luck, superstition, and so on.
- Do you have any phobias? Do you do anything unusual to avoid them?
- Do you have any superstitions?
- What is the luckiest thing that has happened to you?
- What is the unluckiest thing that has happened to you?
- Do you buy into any old wives’ tales or urban legends? Which ones?
