Since committing back in June, Laing has served as the proverbial vocal leader of #Stampede18, actively recruiting his contemporaries to join him in Tampa.
During his senior year, the weakside defensive end racked up 42 tackles (25 for loss), 17.5 sacks, an interception, and a fumble recovery. His younger brother and former USF 2019 verbal commit Kyler had 15.5 sacks on the strong side.
Laing was being actively pursued by Washington State and Rutgers before he decided to stick with the in-state school.
