For a while, Roland was the highest rated #Stampede18 verbal commit before USF snagged DE Stacy Kirby out of nowhere on Wednesday.
Listed as a four-star prospect by ESPN, Roland was originally committed to Louisville early in his recruiting process before decommiting in May.
The 727 product ended up verbally committing to USF in September (in the middle of Hurricane Irma no less) where he's stayed solidly committed since.
He also played a role in getting fellow teammate and three-star defensive tackle John Waller to verbally commit as well.
