Three-star outside linebacker Le’Vontae Camiel has finally signed his LOI to join USF Football after being committed since June 15th of 2019. Camiel will join fellow Columbia Tiger Jordan Smith to make the trek down I-75 from Lake City, FL to Tampa.

Camiel was one of the few commits who carried over from the Charlie Strong recruiting class to the new Jeff Scott recruiting cycle. Camiel helped lead a stout Tiger defense to an successful 8-4 season in 2019 that ended in a 6-3 double OT defensive battle at the hands of Jacksonville Lee.
He helped bring 73 total tackles to his defensive unit, including 11 tackles for loss, 6 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles on the year.
