Only Shannon Smith Days Until USF Football Season

2015 Stats: Smith did not record any statistics last year.

Position on Depth Chart: Shannon is not listed on the post-spring depth chart.

How He Came To USF: After playing football at Armwood High School in Seffner, Smith went to Concordia University. (This is the one in Wisconsin, not to be confused with the nine other Concordia Universities in the system.) In three years with the Falcons, a Division III team, Smith played in 28 games, starting 12. He made a total of 61 tackles and had a knack for big defensive plays, returning two interceptions and a fumble for touchdowns. We aren't sure what brought him back to Tampa, but he left Concordia after the 2014 season and walked on to USF last fall.

Recruiting Rankings: Shannon was not rated by any recruiting service.

Projected Playing Time: Probably not much, if any. But even if he doesn't get any playing time, he'll certainly help with the scout team.
