Despite a covid shortened season, Blackmon showed out for Commodores, leading them to a 7-2 record and a state playoff appearance before being bounced in the Region Finals against Plantation American Heritage. After a stellar career that saw him collect 190 total tackles, seven interceptions, and five forced fumbles, Blackmon continued that momentum into his senior year.
During his final campaign, Blackmon was a force against opposing wide receivers, getting 32 tackles, two forced fumbles, a pick six, and five pass break ups. Lining up at both corner and safety throughout the season, he made his presence known in the passing game as well as providing run support. Typically on the last line of the defense, Blackmon was a sure tackle that saved a few big plays from busting for opposing offenses.
