#41 TE Jake Carlton
Senior, 6'3" 235 lbs.

Stats in 2011: Jake played in nine games, including getting the start in the season finale against Rutgers.

Current Spot on Depth Chart: Jake was not listed on the end-of-season roster. I say he'd be third behind Sean Price and Mike McFarland.

How Did He Come to USF? Carlton came from nearby Bradenton, where he played at Lakewood Ranch High School. He joined the team on preferred walk-on status in the fall of 2010, made it count, as he's still here four years later.

Recruiting Rankings: Jake was not rated by any recruiting site.

Projected Playing Time for 2012: As he has over the past three seasons, he'll see plenty of action as a special teamer. At TE though he'll likely see minimal playing time in lieu of the two starters.

Fun Fact: Jake has a short but sweet basketball highlight video up on youtube.
