Only Greg Reaves Days Until USF Football Season

We don't know much about one of the #41s on the roster, but he has a very similar story to a high school teammate we met earlier.

Even though he only played in one game, we managed to find a picture of Greg Reaves in the library.

#41 LB Greg Reaves
Redshirt Freshman, 6'2", 225 lbs.

2015 Stats: Reaves appeared in one game last season, against Syracuse, but did not record any stats. (It was in the first half of the season, so he was still allowed to redshirt.) He did win USF's defensive Scout Team award after the season.

Position on Depth Chart: Reaves isn't listed on the post-spring depth chart, with the caveat that one player ahead of him at his position (Nick Holman) has since left the program. So he could actually be on there.

How He Came To USF: Reaves played at Bradenton's Manatee High School, leading the team with 87 tackles and helping the Hurricanes reach the state playoffs in 2013. He then followed the same path as his Manatee and USF teammate Brooks Larkin, who we met last month. Greg went to the Air Force Preparatory Academy and played on the 2014 prep football team. (Season stats aren't available for that team.) Reaves left the academy after that year and joined USF's program for the 2015 season.

Here is Greg's high school highlight reel:

Recruiting Rankings: Greg was not rated by any recruiting sites.

Projected Playing Time: Reaves should get at least a little bit more playing time this year, whether it's on special teams or in a reserve role on the defense. He does have some promise, but there isn't enough information to know if he will make a major impact on this year's team.
