#61 OL Dominique Threatt
Senior, 6'1", 315 lbs.
2015 Stats: Threatt started all 13 games at right guard in his first year as the full-time starter. He's now played in a total of 26 games, starting 20.
Position on Depth Chart: Threatt is again the starting right guard following spring practice.
How He Came To USF: Dominique played at Tri-Cities High School in East Point, Georgia. (Coincidentally, his backup at right guard, Jeremi Hall, went to the same high school.) In his junior year, the Bulldogs reached the quarterfinals of the Georgia Class AAAA football playoffs and Threatt was named to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's all-state team. He committed to USF in the summer of 2012 and stuck with the Bulls after Willie Taggart took over, turning down offers from Georgia, Louisville, and Cincinnati.
Recruiting Rankings: 247, Rivals, ESPN, and Scout all rated Threatt as a three-star prospect.
Projected Playing Time: A lot, obviously. Since this is the last offensive lineman we'll meet on our countdown until the incoming freshmen get numbers, let's shout out Danny Hope for the work he did last year as the running game coordinator, turning the offensive line into a strength. Sure, USF changed the offense and that helped some, but going from 3.0 and 3.4 yards per carry in Taggart's first two years to 5.4 yards last year is a huge improvement.
Follow Him On... Dominique's on Instagram at domthrea_usf61. We couldn't find him on Twitter, but we did find this tweet of him squatting 425 pounds.
