USF football received another verbal commitment for the class of 2021 with Tampa Carrollwood Day defensive tackle Desmond ‘Tank’ Mamudi deciding to stay in the Tampa Bay area, and play for his hometown Bulls.

The stud defensive tackle from the 813 has been on USF’s radar for quite a long time, receiving an offer on February 3rd from his hometown Bulls. Defensive line coach Da’Quan Bowers has been key in the recruiting process of Mamudi, and it’s been clear they have shown interest in him as a player and as a person with this homer of a recruiting graphic.

On the field, he was a monster for Steinbrenner, racking up 85 tackles last season with 5.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries, and 23 tackles for loss. Despite his size and power, Mamudi showed nimble finesse along the defensive line showing speed rush moves in his highlights.
He recently transferred from Steinbrenner to Carrollwood Day, where he’ll terrorize opposing offensive linemen as a senior.
