USF football picked up a JuCo verbal commit from California on Friday with defensive tackle Sione “John” Tuitupou verbally committing to the Bulls. He committed just two days after being formally offered.

There’s not a ton of info out there on “JT” but it appears that he initially went to Garden City C.C. in Kansas out of high school in 2016 before transferring to East Los Angeles College. According to ELAC’s stat sheet, he has registered 14 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, a forced fumble and an assisted sack in six games for the Huskies this season.

Tuitupou may not be the only ELAC product heading to Tampa as the staff also offered weakside defensive end Daniel Robledo this week.
