#47 K Jordan Acham
Redshirt Sophomore, 5'11", 202 lbs.
2015 Stats: Based on him still being classified as a sophomore, we think Acham redshirted last year.
Position on Depth Chart: Jordan is the backup placekicker to Emilio Nadelman.
How He Came To USF: Acham punted, placekicked, and handled kickoffs for Palm Beach Central High School. (He also wrestled, played soccer, and ran track.) Acham then chose to join the new Stetson football program in 2014. His opportunities to play were limited, though, and perhaps seeing an opportunity after USF's Marvin Kloss had graduated, he joined the Bulls as a walk-on last fall.
Would you like some high school kicking and punting highlights? Sure you would. Acham even branded himself "the 4th Down Solution."
Recruiting Rankings: Acham was not ranked by the major sites.
Projected Playing Time: Emilio Nadelman got through a rough midseason stretch and made some difficult kicks in November, so his placekicking job looks safe. But USF's kickoffs last year were, in a word, terrible. The Bulls only managed seven touchbacks on 81 kickoffs, and the average kick didn't even make it to the 10-yard line. Acham's kickoff distance was pretty good in high school (see the highlight video). If he can improve on USF's kickoff distance and touchback rate, that job could be his.
