(I wouldn't count on this being a regular feature. And it's not relevant to the current state of USF athletics in any way, which is why I wrote this as a FanPost.)
Like most teams that don't work together in the same place, The Daily Stampede has a Slack channel. Often times the conversation turns into, "Uncle Jamie and Uncle Collin tell the kids USF stories from the old days." I was in there the other day kind of pitching a future post about Rocky, and Nick reminded us all that I was talking about 2013 Capital One Mascot Challenge Champion Rocky D. Bull, thank you very much.
Then we told the story of me and Collin rushing up to campus for a press conference covering Rocky's win on New Year's Day 2014. I shared a link to the post we ran the next day (probably the most righteously angry we've ever been), and then I posted one of the pictures I took in the Slack channel.

I didn't realize it then, but this picture contains multitudes.
Look at Woolard's excitement over something so massively unimportant. Look at Judy air-kissing the check even though this 20 grand is a mere grain of sand on the beach of USF's $1.6 billion budget. Look at Cheerleader #1, trying to hide behind the check and probably thinking about digging a hole in the floor so she can escape. Look at Cheerleader #2, who clearly cannot believe she had to come to campus on New Year's Day to do this.
And look at Rocky.

He knows. He always knows.
