Another verbal commit came rolling in for Jeff Scott and company late Tuesday night, this time three-star Fort Pierce Westwood defensive end Gilber Edmond.
That makes six prospects locked down for USF since Sunday, all of whom visited campus over the weekend.

DE Gilber Edmond
6’4”, 215 pounds
Westwood High School, Fort Pierce, FL
Recruiting Rankings: Three-star by Rivals.
Other Notable Offers: Central Michigan, Western Kentucky, FAU
Switching from receiver to defensive end, Edmond blossomed as a senior for Westwood last fall. Relentlessly shedding blocks and getting into the backfield, the Trasure Coast product piled up 80 tackles (22 for loss), 17 sacks and four fumble recoveries.
This one in particular helped his Panthers clinch the District 6A-11 title over Sebastian River.

Interest from FBS schools started flowing in once the season ended with Central Michigan making a strong push as well as Western Kentucky and FAU. He was even receiving interest from both Tennessee and Florida State and had respective visits to Knoxville and Tallahassee line up.
However, Scott and company swooped in with an offer on Jan. 8 and set him up with a visit to campus this past weekend, where he ultimately decided to commit to the Green and Gold.
