Jeff Scott and company continue to stay hot on the recruiting trail, with their 19th commit this recruiting cycle being Cole Best, an offensive tackle from Trinity Prep in Winter Park.

OT Cole Best

6’4”, 285lbs

Trinity Prep High School, Winter Park, FL

Recruiting Rankings: N/R on 247, Two-star on Rivals

Other Notable Offers: Western Kentucky

A three-sport athlete and playing both sides of the ball, Best helped pave the way for a Saints program who made a state playoff appearance for the first time since 2015.

The new USF prospect has a strong base that is showcased in his pass protection skills as he’s able to effectively kick step to keep his center of gravity and use his strength to keep defensive ends punished. His run blocking highlights shows his relentless pursuit until the whistle is blown.

Both of these skills helped him become Co-MVP for offensive linemen at HotBed Recruiting’s Orlando Showcase. He was noted as the most polished offensive lineman at the camp with his quick feet and his use of hands.

Best becomes the third offensive linemen commit of the class of 2021 cycle, joining Drew Cornelius from Heard County in Georgia, and Andrew Kilfoyl from Gaither.
